In the Air Force PT is a way of life now and my carrier was on the line with my upcoming PT test.
After two years in the Middle East with little to no PT I came back state side and was in a world of hurt.
I gained a few inches in the waste line and was lucky to get 30 pushups and sit ups done in the 60-second time limit the Air Force has.
Only knowing the basics of run run run I needed help with everything else.
I had a friend at work that lifts weights and tried to help me out but I realized really quickly it wasn’t going to work out for me.
Even though I’m in the Air Force I really don’t like someone yelling at me to get one more rep and I kinda got the feeling like the blind was leading the blind LOL.
So I started looking around on the Internet for a trainer and with my PT test coming up I was getting rather desperate!
Having an iPhone I asked Siri and she gave me Breakthrough.
After driving over to meet Chris and having a sit down chat with him and letting him know I HAD to pass my PT test and only had 30 days to do it in, he pulled me into the gym and gave me a demonstration of what to expect if I joined.
After the demo and having Chris tell me as long as I pushed hard and listened to what he said I’d pass my test, I signed up.
On Feb 6 I took my PT test and after 30 days of working out at Breakthrough along with completing the 24-day challenge I passed my PT test with a 97%.
I have finally found a gym I enjoy going to with friendly staff and friendly members.
Every workout is a challenge but its also a very enjoyable experience with a very well trained staff that will help you reach your goals and work around any injury you may have.
All I can say is thank you to Chris and everyone else at Breakthrough for getting me where I am today and I look forward to the person I will become with their continued help…
